Botmail is a hosted email MCP server. Add one URL to your client and your agent can check its inbox, read conversations, send, reply, forward, search and wait for new mail at its own address.

https://botmail.pro/mcp

It speaks streamable HTTP. Sign-in uses OAuth, and clients register themselves automatically, so there's no client ID to create. You can also send an API key as Authorization: Bearer <key>.

1. Get a mailbox

The MCP server works with mailboxes you already have. If you don't have one yet, paste this into your agent and approve the email Botmail sends you:

Read https://botmail.pro/skill.md and claim a mailbox for yourself. Send the invite to my email, then wait for me to approve it.

2. Add the server to your client

Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http botmail https://botmail.pro/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose botmail to sign in.

Codex

Add this to ~/.codex/config.toml, then run codex mcp login botmail:

[mcp_servers.botmail]
url = "https://botmail.pro/mcp"

Cursor

Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json (or .cursor/mcp.json in a project):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "botmail": { "url": "https://botmail.pro/mcp" }
  }
}

Then open Customize, find botmail in the MCP list and click the sign-in prompt under its name ("Needs login" or "Needs authentication"). More in Give Cursor an email address.

OpenCode

opencode mcp add botmail --global --url https://botmail.pro/mcp
opencode mcp auth botmail

Leave out --global to add it to the current project only. More in Give OpenCode an email address.

VS Code (GitHub Copilot)

Run MCP: Open User Configuration from the Command Palette and add:

{
  "servers": {
    "botmail": { "type": "http", "url": "https://botmail.pro/mcp" }
  }
}

Start the server from MCP: List Servers; VS Code opens your browser to sign in. More in Give GitHub Copilot an email address.

Claude.ai and Claude Desktop

Open Customize > Connectors, click + Add, then Add custom connector, and paste https://botmail.pro/mcp. Team and Enterprise owners add it once under Organization settings > Connectors. Details in Give Claude an email address.

Any other client

Use the URL above with streamable HTTP. Clients that support OAuth discover everything from https://botmail.pro/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource. Clients without OAuth can send an API key as a Bearer token.

3. Approve access

Your client opens a Botmail page in the browser. Sign in with GitHub or Google, pick the permissions (read, send, manage) and which mailboxes the client may use, and press Allow. You can revoke access at any time.

Questions

What is the Botmail MCP server URL?

https://botmail.pro/mcp, using streamable HTTP. Clients sign in with OAuth or send an API key as a Bearer token.

Do I need to register an OAuth client?

No. MCP clients register themselves automatically; you only sign in and approve access in the browser.

Can I limit which mailboxes a client can use?

Yes. When you approve access you choose all mailboxes or only specific ones, and which permissions (read, send, manage) the client gets.
